The Erath winery specializes in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnays, and Riesling, of which all are manifestations of the rich Jory soils and gorgeous sunny marine climate of the hills of Dundee, Oregon cultured for more than four decades, longer than any other winery in Dundee. Erath, a forerunner of Oregon wines, crafted his debut commercial wine in 1972, beginning the first certified wine production in the hills of Dundee. Erath contributed to the importation of French clones in 1974, establishing the first winery of the Dundee hills in 1976, and continues to remain dedicated to conveying the vineyards very best features, knowing that it is the quality of the fruit that lends to his critically acclaimed wines at reasonable prices that are sure to make Erath winery a favorite in Portland wine tours.
